Organizers of TriStar111 Estonia
take pleasure in inviting you to participate in the
TriStar111 Estonia triathlon
in Otepää, Estonia
on August 6-7, 2010
DISTANCES
- TriStar111 (1km swim + 100km bike + 10km run) for professional athletes, amateurs and 3-member relay teams.
- TriStar11.1 (0.1km swim + 10km bike + 1km run) for amateurs and children.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The race will take place at the picturesque location on the shores of lake Pühajärv in Southern Estonia. The athletes will swim in the beautiful lake, bike through the magical landscape of Otepää nature park, and run on the lake shore. The entire race center, start, transition zones and finish are located in the gardens of Pühajärve Spa Hotel area, providing both spectators and athletes a great triatlon experience.
PARTICIPANTS
The starting list will be exciting. Among others, the world’s most successful triathlete of the decade, Chris McCormack, as well as best Estonian triathletes Alma Sarapuu, Ain-Alar Juhanson etc will meet at the start line. In the relay race,the best Estonian skiers Andrus Veerpalu, Raul Olle and Jaak Mae will a give serious competition to everyone who’s up for it. Check out who has already signed up here.
ENTRY
Sign-Up is opened on the race’s website www.TriStar111Estonia.com until August 1, 2010.
The first sign-up round ends on May 31.
AWARDS
We will be awarding a total of 10 000 euros in prize money. The prize money will divided equally between male and female Pros as follows:
- 1st place 2000 euros
- 2nd place 1250 euros
- 3rd palce 1000 euros
- 4th place 500 euros
- 5th place 250 euros
In the TriStar111 race, the top 3 men and women of each age group will be awarded with a non-monetary prize.
Awards are given to 3 best teams, best female and best mixed team.
In the TriStar11.1 adults class top 3 men and top 3 women are awarded.
In the children’s race, top 3 boys and girls in each age group are awarded.
